There is a full lifetime worth of hiking to be found in southern Utah. Some of the world's best slot canyons, natural bridges, arches, petroglyphs and ancient ruins are found in this special region. Many of the best hikes are located in the "Mighty Five" national parks, but there are also some fantastic BLM-managed lands and several excellent national monuments to explore too. With hundreds of miles of trails, it can be tough to decipher which trails are the very best in southern Utah. We've done that homework for you, and as such, we are proud to present what we feel are the top 25 day hikes in southern Utah. If you are blessed with an opportunity to hike any of these 5-star rated trails, you absolutely should!
