FAVORITE TOWNS & CITIES IN THE USA
Any list of favorite towns and cities will always be subjective and highly-opinionated, and mine is no different. While I find lists to be very helpful for highlighting special places, it is inevitable that some folks will feel disappointed that their favorite local place has been omitted.
The places you see listed below are based on two dozen road trips taken over the past twenty years, plus a borderline travel guidebook obsession and lots of internet research. I've tried my best to highlight only the best.
The intent of this page is not to create the perfect list of U.S. places; instead, it is meant to introduce readers to more towns and cities that are nationally significant to the average traveler (as opposed to only being locally interesting). Please take note that I have listed only about 20 major/large U.S. cities on this list. Why not all of them? All major U.S. cities have at least some great things to see, do, and eat, but I only wanted to highlight those large/major U.S. cities that I felt were the most notable for travelers.
I will continue to update this page as I travel more of the U.S. and discover additional interesting towns and cities. If you have any recommendations (which would then be considered for inclusion on this list), please email your suggestions using the email address that you see next to my photo image below. Enjoy!
